This is the third installment of the "Organic Hip-hop Series." It was a collaboration project between DJ SRV-L and myself. Specifically, I took a simple hip-hop drum loop (heard in the binning of the song), then I added my own sub-bass and array of drums which progressively gets more complex throughout the track. Then I took a vocal sample of Che Guevara's speech at the United Nations in 1964 and overdubbed it as ambiance. I then overdubbed it as another audio track to automate-scratch to. Meanwhile, DJ SRV-L wrote a piano melody and then I wrote accompanied rhythm piano for accompaniment . He then solo scratched to the melody in real-time on his turntables. Then we made samples and used overdubbing and beat chopping to make the entirety of the track ever evolutionary.
