GENERAL:
This is my 25th solo album; it spans one Summer, two ego deaths, and infinite amount of time and knowledge, and the totality of ineffable experiences as conveyed with sound. The entirety of the album comes to 16 tracks with a total play time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 35 seconds - just under 80 minutes - so a full CD worth of music. The original studio cuts of the tracks are mastered at 12,288Kbps; a 192Khz sample rate, and a 32 bit sample size - this brings the entire 16 track album to 6.57GB. That's a lot of sound! This album was completed about a month prior to it's release. The World is hopefully ready for it.
PSYCHOACOUSTICS & STYLISTICS:
The totality of this album is meant to evoke emotional responses in a way different than contemporary festival trap music where the emphasis is on sparseness and hype tension created by shock value, automation, and stabs - in this exhibiton, the placement of each instrument, its harmonic coexistence, and its' timbre quirks were taken into deep consideration. Additionally, the overwhelming percussive elements of festival trap have been additively expounded upon by the 'amphetamine' elements: (automated, progressive, surround, frontal, and spacious). These elements as well as variegation in mixing and mastering give the album a trancelike IDM and ambient feel. The mechanics of this sound vastly differentiate from most other forms of music - there is intense instrumentation and a multitude of sounds with psychostimulatory essence, so to speak, generated by automation, progression, percussive elements, synth layering, and melodic motifs. The experiences that went into this album were ineffable.
I'm a music producer from the Detroit area. Alot of my work is very different from contemporary artists and the genre is too
vast and variegated to be given as a whole. Thus, EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is the overlay but everything I make is so different (neo-classical, jazz, dubstep, happy hardcore, trance, glitch, chiptune, hip-hop, etc.) Take a look around, chances are you'll find something!...more
I've been working with Craig for 6 years! We've had quite a few adventures, misadventures, and exploitation by the same capitalists! I've seen his style evolve and change over the years. Pr. Deulineum
